THE LAST
BUILDING

Architecture comes before building, and possibly after. Its ability to act as an operator between desire and description (and the reverse) is not only the engine of its form in building, but also its formulation as a discipline. The various approaches to the problem of Architecture (what goes where and why) all reflect this same capacity - to elevate mere happenstance. This is done allegorically, not as a transparent reflection of reality, but as anticipation of existence by other means. In this project, those other means include the media and methodology of world-building, specifically in the overlap of the heuristic capacity of "possible worlds" and the serialized logic of television, here specifically looking at HBO’s Westworld.
