​Rest, fresh air, and nature have often been used as treatment for healing the body and mind. The last hospital takes this approach, providing a specialized service in psychiatry, and placing it in a setting that is conducive for recovery. The site is located on the lake shore, immersed in nature, providing an oasis for the patients to convalesce. The hospital is organized into a base and tower, with a separation of treatment and patient rooms, oriented to maximize the views to the water. In contrast to the hard exterior, the interior uses rounded shapes, curves are repeated throughout the plan and section, creating different zones. The last hospital aims to bring patients closer to nature, both inside and out, with the focus of providing a therapeutic space focused on wellness.
